Three things separate a premium AirPods case from a $5 silicone sleeve: real material (leather, aluminum, aramid), wireless-charging pass-through (so you don't have to remove the case to charge), and a proper carabiner clip that won't fail at the worst moment.

Compatibility — don't get it wrong

AirPods Pro 1, Pro 2, and AirPods 3 each have slightly different case dimensions. A case made for AirPods Pro 1 will not fit AirPods Pro 2 properly (the speaker grille and lanyard hole positions changed). Every case in this collection has its compatibility explicitly labeled.

Wireless charging compatibility

Apple's AirPods cases support Qi wireless charging through the original Apple case. A good third-party case must NOT block this. Look for the wireless symbol on the listing — if it's not there, the case blocks charging and you'll have to remove it every time.

The carabiner question

Carabiner-style AirPods cases hang from a backpack, belt loop, or bag handle. The cheap ones use plastic spring-loaded carabiners that break in weeks. Premium cases use stainless steel or aluminum carabiners with welded loops.
